Acer was very installing from a flash drive to a netbook. My solution was to jump f10 prompt and type e: Enter, j: Enter, f: Enter means spouse and me until you get to U. Apparently on my netbook you were for the USB stimulus. I went to the main location and popup typed u:i386 and additionally bam. I had to wait for the shape and the down arrow and probably enter 1/4, but the setup time is the best.

    service pack 1 asms

I have tried EVERYTHING and it has been extremely helpful. BUT one was the person who solved the problem I asked:
    I do this:
Set my BIOS to update in the following order:
Hard drive, floppy, etc. Change cd
    service pack 1 asms

    then i “C:/i386”, when you need “E:/i386”
    That’s it… Good luck!

Ah! If you still have problems after moving “C:/i386”, replace the letter “C” with “E” ;D

I ALL and nothing worked. BUT there was one person who also solved mine:

    I did the following:
configured my preferred BIOS to boot in order:
    HDD, Floppy, then HDD

    Then I change ” C:/i386″ to “E:/i386”
    That’s it… good luck!

Ah! much later, if changing at “C:/i386” causes more problems, change the equivalent of “C” to “E” ;D

    Hey guys,

tried the previous “d:i386” a few times, prompting the drivers to just copy and paste and sometimes ctrl+v and it works for me. Thank you very much for the suggestions above, which we greatly appreciate.

    Well done… 🙂

I found the simplest and best solution by using the Hiren boot CD. Here’s what to do if you’re having problems with “i386”:
Have a bootable CD, DVD and USB with Hirens,
    Mini Run XP,
Copy the i386 installation from the CD, found in the partition where Windows is normally installed.
    Restart your computer, that’s it.
