Just got a Samsung Corby Pro Rogers after trying to use a homemade MP3 recording as a great ringtone. The mp3 is loaded, and the phone picks up normally, but despite trying to set it up, I see the ringtone playing. A message like “image unsupported” appears.
The other ringtones that come with the phone are also pre-recorded arguments – just wondering what I usually have to do to put my own mp3s into the global “supported” file type in order to use ringtones.

The various mp3 ringtone files you download to your device are probably DRM protected/encrypted. Phone firmware that allows you to use only protected/encrypted DRM files in the ringtone as a ringtone. thanks for the suggestion – I tried the tool – drm-packager, Corby even though Pro doesn’t recognize files like .dm. .I .also .tried .moving .to ..wav, .3gp. Only .3g2 .mp4 is available. The file will work fine, but it can be installedUpdate only as a sound signal.
I also tried rumkin.com and bought the ringtone that Sent had on the landline – same offer again – I can’t use it as a ringtone instead. Nevertheless
I’m trying to record sound on these phones and again the same problem, I can’t play it either, but I can pick up the ringtone.
Any other slightly more ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a Samsung Pro Corby through Get Rogers and am trying to use a homemade mp3 recording as a ringtone. The file was loaded mp3 and pplayed on my gut phone but when i tried to set it as a ringtone on the go it said “unsupported file type”.
All other ringtones supplied with the smartphone are MP3 files. I’m just wondering what I really want to do to convert my managed MP3 file into a “supported” version of the file for use as a ringtone.
